About
I work in the School of Environment, Natural Resoruces and Geography here at Bangor University. My research interests lie in river response to Quaternary environmental change, particularly long-term dynamics and chronologies of upland rivers, influence of glacial-uplift on post-glacial river development, Lateglacial/Holocene sediment budgets/flux/storage, response to increased flooding during the historic period and human-river interactions (Geoarchaeology). The application of high-precision spatial and temporal data, and the uses of GIS in catchment studies. In addition, I have interests in Late Devensian glacigenic sediments and landforms, and the application of morphosedimentary studies to ground remotely-sensed data. I am currently writing up a couple of papers from my thesis, and beyond that I'll be out in the field with colleagues here and elsewhere working on lateglacial sediments (Wales) and lateglacial/early Holocene terrace sequences (N'land).
