About
My main research fields are those of Physical Organic Chemistry of Biological and related systems (ie at the life-science interface). My group uses synthetic (wetlab), NMR, ab initio and MD simulation methods to approach problems involving complexity. My group has a special interest in free radical systems, including free radical enzymes, protein and amino acid free radicals, phenolic radicals. The group also have a strong track record in Ionic liquids, working closely with Dr Jason Harper at UNSW, and more recently with colleagues in our Biocomposites centre and at Nottingham University.
During 2010 I am on sabbatical at MIT.
